Hue and Cry
The cats were morally outraged. What fiends were these mice that they would destroy themselves thus? They decided on stronger numbers and increased surveillance.
The mice formed an alliance with a rat known as “rope climber.” He promised supplies. They gave him sanctuary.
Two days later a cat trio was scouting a corner of the warehouse. A crate crashed. Two died. Rope Climber claimed responsibility. The families of the slain cats cried for revenge. A war could not be avoided.
War erupted. Horrible carnage ensued. Nowhere was found a voice of reason. The cats won the upper hand. The mice agreed to a truce. Peace was nigh.
